It’s barely two days into 2020 and Gunther Werks is already making news. The team known for their incredible reimagined 993 builds has taken to social media with a rendering of their latest project.
The post, along with the photo above, reads: “Kicking off 2020 with another insight into our upcoming speedster concept unveiling.”
This rear shot is pretty telling. We can see key established Gunther Werks details like the unique taillight treatment. Other cues show a clean ducktail and further augmented roll hoops and bodywork around them that’s more significant than the clam shell found on other air-cooled 911 Speedster generations (G-body, 964 and 993). Perhaps as a know to the outgoing 991.2 Speedster, the Gunther Werks version appears to also sport a more retro style rearview mirror design.
So what do you think? We personally can’t wait for the unveiling, whenever that may be. See more images of Gunther Werks work in our Porsche photo archive HERE.
